Jule Sugarman
Jule Sugarman, Pres.

Jule Sugarman and his wife Candy Sullivan moved back to Seattle two years ago. They found the Fellowship on the internet and joined a month later. Shortly thereafter, they began hosting “Life, Universe, and Everything” discussions at their condo on Alki. Jule was on the Strategic Plan Committee and has been active in helping explore options for a new home. 

Jule has been described as one of the nation’s most successful and creative public administrators. Nationally, he is best known for managing the national Head Start Program during its formative years. In Washington State, he served as Secretary of Social and Health Services under Governor Booth Gardner. In 2006, Governor Christine Gregoire appointed him to the Washington Council on Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.

Known as a passionate child advocate, he was instrumental in founding the Children’s Alliance in Washington State. He continues to focus energies on financing education and children’s services.
