October 17, 10:30 a.m. “Hope is Found in Being Unsettled”  Rev. Peg Morgan

October 24, 10:30 a.m. “Do UUs Worship?”  Rev. Peg Morgan
Some words still sting us from our prior religious experiences…But maybe some reclamation is in order.  Come and let’s figure out what it is we do on Sunday mornings.

October 24, 7 p.m.  “Bless this House”  Tonight we gather for the dedication of our new church home.  We have the honor of having Rev. Peter Morales, President of the UUA, preaching.  This will be a formal and celebratory service with a procession of ministers and religious educators from around the district joining us.

October 31, 10:30 a.m. "Remembering Those No Longer Among Us"
Today we will remember and reflect on those who have played important roles in our lives and have passed-on. In many ways they remain with us.  You are encouraged to bring pictures and mementos of loved ones.

November 7, 10:30 a.m. "Fathers and Grandfathers: Reflections and Lessons"
With Rev. Mark Newton leading, men of our congregation will reflect on their experiences of being  fathers and grandfathers. What are the lessons these men have learned and want to share? What have they carried forward from their own fathers and grandfathers, and what have they chosen to leave behind?
November 14, 10:30 a.m. "I Want to be Left Behind: Finding Rapture Here on Earth" Brenda Peterson
Using her humorous spiritual memoir as backdrop, Seattle author Brenda Peterson will reflect on being raised to think that the chosen will be swept by the Rapture into Heaven; and now believes "the chosen have muddy feet."

November 21, 10:30 a.m. “For All That is Our Life” Rev. Peg Morgan and friends
Today we will have an opportunity to appreciate the little things in our lives, during an intergenerational play, and open sharing.  This is a multigenerational service, which means that most children will stay with us.  Nursery care still provided.  This service is followed by our traditional all ages Thanksgiving potluck.

November 28, 10:30 a.m. “Faith and Children, Attending to the Spirit of Children” Kari Kopnick, Director of Religious Exploration for Children and Youth
The Westside Unitarian Universalist Congregation has a tradition of a deep commitment to the spiritual growth of our children and youth. The passion and strength of our programming is a direct result of that commitment. What is spiritual growth for children? Why is a child's spiritual growth important? And what is Westside doing to ensure the highest quality programming for our children and youth? A spirited service all about the Spirit of our Children.
