Greetings all!

What is your favorite Fall ritual? Rituals can be “an act or a series of acts regularly repeated in a set precise manner, an established form of ceremony or a ritual observance.” *

Do you and your chosen family have Fall rituals you do every year for the start of school or RE at Westside? My little family would often make a trip to the thrift store for “new” used clothing after school started.

I grew up locally in a place where I could see salmon spawn and complete their cycles every year. I still try to make a day trip to greet the returning salmon in one of our local rivers every Fall.

I love Westside’s water ritual at our Fall Ingathering. I hope you and your family will attend and bring a small container of water from your summer adventures to Ingathering service on Sunday, September 14th at 10:30 am.

This year we’ll be featuring a thoughtful observance around the millions of people who are without access to water. You can learn more at the empty cup decorating station in the back of the sanctuary during service.

After service, we hope families will join us downstairs for an activities fair which will include a fun RE booth.
