I am so excited to bring pet blessings back to Westside! Here’s a photo of our 6 pets: Willow, Burnham, Sisko, Bubba, Tendi and Rutherford.

On this Sunday October 12th, we will bless our pets (through the photos and stuffed animals your child brings) and connect our care and compassion towards animals with our UU values of interdependence, generosity and love. I’m loving how our pet blessings and pet care theme this week will tie in to RE Sunday in two weeks. On Sunday, October 26th, we will be joined by a local pet rescue, and they’ll help us understand what goes into maybe hosting an adoption event with them.

We will be weaving our interconnected values, love of animals, pet care and planning a possible service project all in a paws-itive month. Hope you and your family can join us!
