Does your group want to host a special Sunday program? We are planning the 2026-2027 3rd & 5th Sunday programs soon!
What is this?
During the early days of the pandemic, Westside worship leaders scaled back our worship program to 2x monthly to make it more sustainable. Due to budget constraints and my part-time schedule, we have not added more worship Sundays, but are trying to expand our offerings. We started with Spark Sundays, on the first Sunday of the month, time for fellowship and deeper connection facilitated by our right relations core team.
This year, we started experimenting with diverse programs on the third and fifth Sunday of each month. Have you attended an all-ages RE day, a film screening, a congregational sing, UU parenting group, or a justice action day?
The Invitation
Our staff & volunteer team is starting to consider the calendar for next year’s offerings. If your Westside committee or small group has a program, workshop, or other activity you’d like to host, please reach out to Rev. Carter.
Questions to Consider:
- Who is the intended audience? All ages, or just adults? A particular identity or interest group?
- Is there a certain month or season you’d like to do it in?
- Who is on your team? Are you interested in partnering with others to bring this program to life?
- What support, equipment, or space would you need?
You do not need to submit a full proposal, just share your ideas. We’ll make this a great Westside year together!
