Leadership Assembly

2020-11-22 12:15 2020-11-22 13:30 America/Los_Angeles Leadership Assembly

We could all use some comfort and nourishment right now, so we invite you to attend our first Leadership Assembly of this church year, in your coziest pjs or fuzziest slippers, with a cup of hot cocoa (or tea, or cider, or…) Leadership Assembly is open to all who are current, past, or future congregation leaders (that’s everyone). Please spread the word and share with all your Westside friends. For our first gathering we will be exploring the concepts of spiritual maturity, differentiated leadership, and introducing everyone to the UUA Commission on Institutional Change (COIC) report titled Widening the Circle of Concern that was published in June of this year. In preparation for our time together please read the following (attached): Kendyl Gibbons ~ 2015 Religious Humanist of the Year address The Joy in the Spiritual Work, by Mary Byron  This year, we will be studying Widening the Circle of Concern, which the second reading is excerpted from. There are multiple ways to access the full report. You can get a free pdf version via this link. You can also order a copy from the UUA bookstore (consider joining with other members and order together to get a bulk discount). Or, you can read online and/or listen to individual chapters via this link. We are looking forward to gathering together and growing in spiritual leadership! To help us in our planning, please RSVP to marissa at vp@wsuu.org -https://groups.google.com/ in love and gratitude, Vanessa Shaunessy & marissa delgado ohoyo President & Vice President Board of Trustees
