Click here to join this worship service on November 8th at 10:30 am on our YouTube Channel. For a while this service was going to be called Now what? Then it was What now? For a time it was just To Be Determined. We sit still in so much uncertainty, in the knowing that the outcome has life and death implications for some, knowing that even a decision doesn’t provide any clear picture of the next days, weeks and months. And we sit in the plainly revealed depth of the divide present in this country, the chasm between our visions for this nation and its people. Join us this Sunday as we seek to calm our frantic nerves, and reconnect to our conviction that our work of loving and healing continues, always. Order of Service Prelude: John Hansen Ringing of the Bell Call to Community: #170 We Are a Gentle Angry People Invitation and Opening Words Chalice Lighting & Congregational Affirmation: Laura Pierce Hymn: # 163 For the Earth Forever Turning Time for All Ages Singing the Children Out Offering Gift of Music: Dedication – Lea Joys and Sorrows –Voice Still and Small Prayer Hymn – #1045 There is a Balm in Gilead Meditation – Stephen Scheurich Song – Loosen, Loosen – by Aly Halpert, sung by Liz Bucklew, Lisa Maynard, Gracie Bucklew Sermon – Part 1- The Long and Winding Road Anthem: Blessed Unrest – Zo Tobi Sermon – Part 2- The Long and Winding Road Sending Hymn: We Would Be One, UU Santa Monica Vocalists Closing Words and Releasing the Flame Five-Fold Amen: You are invited to find hands to hold in body or spirit, across the aisle, while we sing.
