Lift Update 9.13.19

Though there isn’t a lot to report, the Lift Committee felt it was time to update our community on what has been happening. First, the Lift Committee, despite the lack of noticeable progress, has not been sitting on its laurels.  Judi Finney, in particular, has been hard at work staying on top of the company providing the lift.  We are waiting on the replacement doors to change out the doors which swing the wrong way.  We have been given several times when the doors were supposed to ship and then supposed to arrive.  When those dates passed, Judi reached out

July 8 Annual Poetry Service: Resilience

This service will feature several members of the congregation reading poems of their choosing (written by them or another author), related to the overall theme of “Resilience.” RESILIENCE: Latin, resilīre – to spring back, rebound 1)  the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties or adversity; toughness; buoyancy 2)  the power or ability to return to an original form or position, after being bent, compressed, or stretched; elasticity. Space Has Opened Up for Leavenworth Women’s Retreat – An Auction Item

We have an exciting opportunity coming up for October 20th to 23rd in Leavenworth. Some vacancies have opened for you to join us for this 3rd annual auction item and its a big fun event with five multi bed cabins this year to accommodate more ladies. It should be colorful there and a lot of fun with leaf changes and just a great place to be hiking, exploring and hanging out. There is game room, heated pool and hot tub as well.
