Parent/Caregivers/Guardians Group

Greetings:

Do you have any plans for this weekend? At Westside, we will have Parent/Caregivers/Guardians Group 10:30 am -12 noon. It is open to all Parents/Caregivers/Guardians of children, youth, young adults, and adults of all ages. Participants are welcome to join any or all meetings – no RSVP is necessary.

Folks are welcome to park in the church lot or on the street, and to enter through the Social Hall door. Our RE Sunday programming for children is happening at the same time in the Social Hall.

During our meeting time, we are creating a space of connection for parents, caregivers and guardians to share, and to give and receive support. We offer interest-based content with various topics and activities.

Sunday’s Topic: Anxiety, processing upsetting news, and how much do you talk about it? How to talk about the future? How do we deal with the intolerance of others and bystander choices (being allies to others, especially immigrants, trans and nonbinary folks)? Bring your questions and your ideas.

In between our Parents/Caregivers/Guardians meetings, we offer an online discussion space. Please note that participants do not have to join the online discussion group, it is totally optional. Parents/Caregivers/Guardians who wish to join are invited to the online discussion space after having attended one of our in-person group meetings to further our connections and conversations.

If you have questions please email dre@wsuu.org

In gratitude,
Leilani Davenberry
